Pranava Maharaj, who goes by stage name Nava, is an independent R&B artist & producer based in Trinidad and Tobago. At eleven years old, the singer won a music competition and his career continued to skyrocket from there. After catching the attention of soca superstar Machel Montano, Nava toured all over the world with Montano, performing at places such as Radio City Music Hall in New York and the Crop Over Festival in Barbados. He collaborated with Montano on soca hit “Festival” in 2015 and performed at Trinidad Carnival.
Nava has since been experimenting with his sound and has worked with other Trinidadian urban artists Kaz and Freshmxn. He has also put out a few singles, two of which are featured on his latest release.
Nava’s latest release, an R&B EP entitled “now(here);” showcases his further evolution of sound. With a unique musical background and a bright future, he is an artist to watch. Stream his new EP on Spotify, down below.
Soulfully beautiful instrumentals, a unique voice and a relationship story best sum up Oregon emcee Alec Bolen’s recently released EP, “Rosewater”. Seven tracks long, the project features the lead single / debut visual titled “Autumn to Winter”. Thru the track listing, Alec is able to capture the mood of what young love is made up of. He does this with interlocking beats and rhyming in a fully automatic delivery stance. Aside from the relationship based theme, the EP also offers up a glimpse inside of Bolen while on his pathway of growth.
“Rosewater” is the ideal album to obviously throw on while in the presence of your lady. However, the EP is also plain out good music to chill out to. Don’t be shocked if you find yourself possibly indulging in some greenery or a few brews. It’s cruising music for Hip Hop fans and can even be background music for a day of house cleaning. Whatever the case may be, Alec has done a sensational job of piecing this project together in the method he did.
This is his first officially released project outside of the Soundcloud realm and he has no plans of slowing down moving forward. Be on the lookout for another possible video. Rest assured, the young riser is planning more new music as he is already in the prepping stages of yet another upcoming album. Stream “Rosewater” on Spotify and then stick around to view to “Autumn to Winter” video on YouTube.

2018 official A3C artist Izzy Strange dives deep into social media disorders, internet addiction and much more with the release of “Televised”.
Starring vocalist Tahlyn, who has previously worked with Izzy on songs from his sophomore album, “A Good Day 2 B The Bad Guy”. Strange is also joined by producer Casa Nada, another noteable character from the aforementioned album, for the outer world soundscape. The song strikes hard against the negative use of social media outlets such as Facebook and Instagram while also telling a story involving the Pennsylvanian emcee.
Video director Geoffrey Ladd makes his grand appearance as an Izzy cohort with “Televised”. His footage editing and IG/FB live feed imitation used in the video help further the theme of just how much the web, namely social media, has negatively impacted personal interaction. This is especially true when it comes to artists and the music the create. Izzy’s rock influenced flow combined with Tahlyn’s heart piercing singing makes this an interesting single to examine word by word.
“Televised” is a loose single being used to keep the powerful momentum Strange acquired since early last year when he started releasing music from AGD2BTBG. It doesn’t end there either as he recently announced another loose single to debut in July with Blu titled “Just Me”. This will mark the second time the two lyricists have met up, the first was on “At Home”. The upcoming track will feature Sara Fox and production from Mayeniac & Leauxfi. Tune into “Televised” above and keep a close eye out for “Just Me” and more via www.izzystrangeraps.com.
With four years now between each installment, Rotten Apple wordsmith Francheyez premieres the thirteen track mixtape, “Federal Reserve Notes Vol. 2”
New York emcee Francheyez (pronounced Franchise) represents the birthplace of Hip Hop to the fullest. A descendant of Puerto Rican heritage, Francheyez has always been noted by many as being creative. After finishing high school, he chose to attend Five Towns College, where his love for the art of Disc Jockey would introduce him to the necessary elements that prevail on the production side of things. As he began to study engineering, his interests in music grew more. Soon thereafter, Francheyez found a new passion for being an emcee. Recording in his free time, he went to task getting as many ears to listen as possible. With the assistance of manager, Irving Rose (Da Da Doe Entertainment, LLC.), he found himself with an abundance of opportunities to showcase his talent and network with power players.
His list of credentials to date include being a featured act alongside battle royalty Daylyt in Rhode Island for an event hosted by Grind Mode Cyphers. From that point things grew exponentially and he found himself once again featured, this time alongside Bronx heavyweight Oun P this time working with Bullpen Cyphers. The next venture brought a collaboration with VH1 Get Signed alumni Ren Thomas, as he traveled to the Jersey short to team up with Bullpen Cyphers once again. A stop in Harrisburg, PA saw Francheyez with rising Philly MC Mad Squablz before Francheyez would match wits legendary wordsmith Cassidy for an animated presentation. Other venues that Francheyez has displayed phenomenally at include Alchemy in Rhode Island, Brooklyn Art Center, and the Harrisburg Art center.
Along the way Francheyez has received much needed support from popular media outlets such as Get Your Buzz Up, WrldUndGrd, TeamBackPack and more. His current focus is the promotion of the second installment in his “Federal Reserve Notes” series. The project is led by his new visual, “Pain Release”. The rest of the summer season is promising as Francheyez has plans to drop a collaboration titled “Disenfrancheyezed”, as well as a group mixtape titled “Welcome to Cru York City”.
Milwaukee based artist Taiyamo Denku debuts the final single before the upcoming release of the “No Industry Standard” album. Entitled “Fabulous Life”, the song blends potent Hip Hop lyricism with an R&B chorus courtesy of Boston vocalist, The Genius. To send the song completely over the top, the Collab King lands one of his biggest features yet alongside the Queen Bee, Lil Kim.
Produced by Australia’s Dcypha, he blends eighties styled keys and synth strings all over simplistically laid drums. Taiyamo handles the first and third verse, speaking about what his definition of a “Fabulous Life” is. Lil Kim arrives in true high fashion status for the second verse, rapping the kind of braggadocios flows that earned her a spot among the top tier femcees. The Genius adds in the perfect amount of R&B pizzazz to give the “Fabulous Life” it’s appealing commercial allure.
Taiyamo Denku is the epitome of what a true Hip Hop artist is all about. He sets up all his own shows, tours the U.S. consistently and is constantly crafting new music in the studio aka the Cypha Den. Over his lengthy career span, he’s shared tracks with some of Hip Hop’s elite such as Kool G Rap, KRS One, Sean Price, Jadakiss and many more. These accolades have earned him the title of “Collab King”. He has released numerous albums as well, such as his forthcoming project, “No Industry Standard”.
Releasing late this month, expect to hear collabs with Conway The Machine, Chino XL, Saukrates, Royal Flush, KRS One, Benny The Butcher and the aforementioned single with Lil Kim. “No Industry Standard” is currently available for pre-order via Bandcamp while the “Fabulous Life” track can be streamed thru Soundcloud.
Massachusetts riser Ant OhSo Dank continues to demolish major artist instrumentals. For his latest visual presentation, he teams with AMR Final Filmz for the official video behind his Kodak Black re-working of “Codeine Dreaming”.
Ant OhSo Dank can stand on his own, no need for a clique or crew. The rising rapper specializes in catchy melodies and addictive ad-libs, completed with a voice all his own. Dank has also had his fair share of struggles and pitfalls along the way. He’s experienced a little bit of everything ranging from depression, long nights in the trap, addiction and much more. Once a victim to his circumstances, Ant made the decision to buckle up and make a way out for himself. So far, the East Coast naive has debuted three official videos, “6 Days”, “Save Me / Skrilla” and today’s entry, “Codeine Dreaming”.
With each of his video releases, the young artist has leveled up dramatically. His debut, “6 Days”, is a dark, sinister story of his struggle times and his mentality to come up out of them. “Save Me / Skrilla” showcased two individual songs and gave viewers two sides of his ability to craft hit songs. It also was a big step up from the first flick. Now, Ant and AMR Final Filmz take his brand to an even higher level with “Codeine Dreaming”. Shot on location in an undisclosed abandon building, the performance based piece takes the Kodak Black and Lil Wayne tune to an unseen plateau. OhSo’s patent delivery can also be found sprayed all over the track.
2018 looks to be a promising year for Ant OhSo Dank as he plans on delivering yet another video, this time, for his all original single, “Peso”. He plans to debut his official album, “Out The HallWays”, later this year. View “Codeine Dreaming” above and stay tuned for more from Ant.
Taiyamo Denku and Conway The Machine smash the term “fake it to you make it” with their collaborative effort, “Be Who You Are”, produced by Dcypha
“Be Who You Are” is the lead off single from seasoned Milwaukee emcee Taiyamo Denku’s forthcoming album, “No Industry Standard”. To properly set the flame to the project’s wick, the collab king tag teams a moody Dcypha production with Griselda Records own, Conway. The pair speak on killing trends, keeping it all the way real and staying true to self, something both men have done thru their lengthy career stretch.
Not just another dope Hip Hop cut, Denku and Conway utilize the chorus to tell two separate, autobiographical stories of the streets. The revered Hall N’ Nash spittah kicks rhymes circling around his New York state of mind. Taiyamo approaches things from a semi-similar angle and rhymes about the cold streets of his hometown, Milwaukee. Denku goes in depth on his love for his city and never succumbing to the darker side of the area.
The single couldn’t have came at a better time when we have the next generation of Hip Hop brainwashed by prescription drugs, viral trends and the same old redundant auto-tuned music from the next Lil something or other. The message in the song is simple, no matter where you are or what you have going on, simple “Be Who You Are”.
Aside from the new single, Conway recently debuted the hard bodied, ten track “Blakk Tape” alongside producer, Daringer.
Taiyamo Denku’s “No Industry Standard” will feature some heavy duty features. You can catch him trading bars about the good life alongside Lil Kim on “Fabulous Life”, mass murdering emcees aside legendary artists such as KRS One, Chino XL, Royal Flush and Saukrates – among others. Make sure to stay tuned for upcoming singles, videos and the official album drop throughout the 2018 time span.
Returning with new music in the form of “Good Weather”, this Cash Bently production is Dave Amigo’s first single to kick off the spring with. The song provides a feel good vibe that feels like the warm weather that is coming this time of year. Listen to the tune here.
Dave Amigo hails from the small town of York, Pennsylvania. he provides a melodic 90’s-type r&b tune over up-to-date trap beats. he started taking music seriously in 2016, after having troubles with the law which granted him a new found work ethic. He later then took his talents to Philadelphia where he started establishing his brand and fan base in their scene.
Chante Soulus is not just some ordinary artist. He produces and mixes most of his tracks, writes and he is gifted on the mic. Chante is from San Bernardino, California and has been seriously pursuing music for almost two years now. Fairly new to the game, Soulus knows his strong suits and how to connect to fans. His latest single, “DrugLuv”, has a bouncy, slow paced rhythm that is easy on the ears. Produced by Dee B, it’s sure to up your spirits. Check it out on Soundcloud.
